Join 250 guests from the art and business worlds for FTA’s 2025 benefit evening featuring Louise Lecavalier’s new show danses vagabondes.

FTA and Louise Lecavalier share a longstanding relationship. In 2008, she presented one of her first works, Is You Me, at the Festival. This was followed by Children + A few minutes of Lock (2010), So Blue (2013), Mille batailles (2016) and Stations (2021).

This year, the choreographer and dancer brings us the North American premiere of danses vagabondes, a solo in which she dons the many faces and stories of the vagabond, driven by an irrepressible desire for freedom. This spirit of defiance is transformed, through Lecavalier’s ever-shifting dance, into a luminous force. Something larger than life is activated between the performer and her audience, forging unexpected links between our inner wanderings. 

Louise Lecavalier is an unsurpassed force of nature. Since making her debut as a dancer, she has been described as a performer of incomparable virtuosity: she “shines brightest,” she is a “star,” she is “timeless.” But beyond these commonplaces, Lecavalier is above all a “glorious fool”—a being with a thousand faces who dances from the gut and the heart, an innovator who has made her mark on dance history at home and abroad.

An evening as incandescent, liberating, and transcendent as Lecavalier’s life as an artist.
